主要开展锂离子电池、钠离子电池、锂硫电池、金属空气电池、燃料电池和超级电容器及石墨烯等相关材料的研究工作。目前主持2项NSFC面上项目,2项广东省科技厅项目,1项广州市科技计划对外合作项目,参加一个NSFC-广东联合基金重点项目。与多家锂离子电池及材料企业有良好的合作关系。和国内外知名的科研院所机构进行学术交流和科研合作工作。在Chem. Comm.、J. Mater. Chem.A、Electrochem.Comm.、Journal of Power Source等著名能源材料期刊发表论文50多篇,其中SCI和EI收录文章25篇,申请中国发明专利19项,其中授权3项,编写英文研究专著一章。
